@Acedragon01, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
I understand your HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2777 is showing as offline, even after reconnecting the USB cable and restarting both the printer and your laptop. Let's walk through a few steps to get your printer back online.
Check Printer Status in Windows
- On your PC, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your HP 2777 printer and select See what's printing.
- In the new window, click Printer in the top menu.
- Make sure "Use Printer Offline" is unchecked.
Set as Default Printer
- In Devices and Printers, right-click your HP 2777.
- Select Set as default printer.
Reinstall the Printer Driver
Sometimes the driver may be corrupted or outdated.
- Download the latest full-feature driver from the official HP site: Official HP® Support
- Uninstall the current printer driver from Control Panel > Programs and Features.
- Restart your PC.
- Install the freshly downloaded driver and reconnect the printer via USB when prompted.
I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.
Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
