I'm trying to set up my Envy 5032 through HP but with no joy.
I have successfully connected in to the WiFi via the Wireless set up wizard and have even managed to print wirelessly via setting up through Windows so know it is connected.
I cannot however scan anything wirelessly so think I need to have it set up through HP.123
Everytime I search for the printer it says it can't find it. I have tried manually setting up too by using the IP address option. I've tried factory resetting 3 times, updating the software and all the things here https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-envy-5530-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5304881/model/5373124/....
Ive also tried the doctor tool (which also cant find the printer). Could you please help as it is now becoming extremely frustrating!
Many thanks
Phil

Hey there! @spokesed, Welcome to HP forums.
I understand you have issues scanning from your printer.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any changes to your printer?
Are you able to make a copy from your printer?
Are you able to scan using a wired connection from your printer?
Excellent description and a great diagnosis done. It is greatly appreciated.
Try disabling the firewall on your PC also, update the windows to the latest version and check if it helps.
Try scanning using HP smart app on your PC and check if it helps.
Refer this article to know more information about using HP smart app. Click Here
Try the steps recommended below.
Use the Command Prompt to reset the WIA dependencies to detect whether the print hardware might resolve the scanning issue.
Search Windows for Command Prompt.
Right click Command Prompt from the list of search results, and then select Run as Administrator.
In the Command Prompt window, enter Net stop stisvc, and then press Enter.
A Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service was stopped successfully message displays.
In the Command Prompt window, enter Sc config stisvc depend= rpcss/ShellHWDetection, and then press Enter.
A [SC] ChangeServiceConfig SUCCESS message displays.
In the Command Prompt window, enter Net start stisvc, and then press Enter
A Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service was started successfully, message displays.

Try to scan.

If the issue still persists uninstall the printer software from the root level on your PC and install the full feature printer software.
In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
Select your HP printer.
Select Uninstall.
In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
Click on Drivers tab.
Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click remove at the bottom.
Select OK.
Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
Close Devices and Printers.
Update the full feature printer software using this link. Click Here
Lastly, if nothing works try using HP print and scan doctor on your PC and check if it helps.
