Microsoft Windows 11

I am trying to install the DesignJet 500 Printer Driver (hpdj500800wkmglen.exe) on my Windows 11 computer, and it would not unzip the files properly after the download.   It does not pop up on any installation screen.  The temp file it is supposed to unzip has a bunch of files with 0 KB value.  Please help.  Thank you.

Hi @jp343

First, thank you so much for helping me on this issue.

I downloaded the software from your link, which self-extracts the software and goes through the installation process.  However, the software package installed applies only to the T or Z series printers which are relatively newer models.  Mine (DesignJet 500) is a much older generation with no T or Z in the front of the model.  It did not install properly and the software cannot find the printer connected via a usb connection.  Your insight would be greatly appreciated.
