HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 4301fdw Printer

—I have an HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 4301fdw Printer (new)

—I set it up, used HP Smart to assist in set up

—Set-up new pin for device

—Set-up new HP.com

—Added installed printer to HP Smart app.

—Everything works: Printer, Scanner, connection to HP Smart

—I go to add Instant Ink and it takes me admin.hpsmart.com

—I realize this is admin portal -- but I can't really do anything, check anything or add instant ink there BECAUSE it says that I have no printer connected to my account (but I do)

— Also (not directly related), on HP Smart App, when I jump to admin portal it asks for "assigned password" for device. So, I put in my pin password... it rejects it. I go to device and do the same, I get in. So I know password pin is good.

My question: What is going on here? Anyone else have this problem? I can use my printer and scanner just fine, but admin wise from admin.hpsmart.com I can't do anything. Should I just accept this as the way things are until I get a new printer in a few years or is there a simple fix (other than starting over again... which would be time comsuming and not fix anything as the problem isn't with the printer it is with the hp online account at admin.hpsmart.com.
