I have a MacBook Pro on OS 13.5.2. My HP Photosmart printer C7280 is not connecting wirelessly, although both are on the same network.  Is there another setting or driver that I need to install?

Welcome to the HP support community.

Are you getting any error messages?

Could you elaborate on the issue for better understanding?

Hi Sandytechy20,

Sorry for delay in responding. the answer to your question is NO, there is no error message.

According to the printer network printout page, both my printer and Mac are on the same network system and the printout also states that my printer is connected to the network.

I am now also having a problem with my USB/Ethernet printer cable connection. Current Macbook's do not use a USB ports, so have to use an adapter, which has been working well until now. However, now my Mac is not recognising the hard wired connection and when I go to print, I get the message that the printer is 'offline". This has become really annoying as I have gone through the routine to switch-off and unplug everything, restarting from scratch. Can you provide assistance, other than throwing away the printer, which I happen to like and have had for a number of years.

You can connect the printer using the HP Smart app.
