Office jet pro 6978

My printer Office jet pro 6978 is keep saying that it hasn’t been shut down properly . It also said the paper jams even though no paper jams and i turn it off and on properly many times. The warrantee has expire since April 2018. It said contact HP. 0x6100004a. Please help.

Known Solutions...

 

The "improper shutdown" in this case is perhaps related to the "jam" issue.

The printer cannot shut down properly when things are not working as expected.

 

note:
Paper jams can be real or false. The printer might report a paper jam even when there is no jammed paper. The following steps apply to both real and false paper jams.

 

 

and / or

Note what the document says about "jammed" paper - again, the steps can be followed in order to help find and resolve the issue.
