Hi @Robw9764,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds to allow the printer to reset.
  • Plug the power cord back into the printer and the power source and turn on the printer.

Check Cartridge Installation:

  • Open the cartridge access door and ensure that all cartridges are firmly seated in their slots.
  • If any cartridge is not installed correctly, remove it and reinsert it, making sure it clicks into place securely.

Inspect for Hardware Obstructions:

  • Look inside the printer for any packing material or debris that might be interfering with the printer's operation.
  • Remove any obstructions carefully.

Reset the Ink System:

  • Remove the cartridges and close the cartridge access door.
  • With the printer on, unplug the power cord again and wait for 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.
  • Once powered up, reinstall the cartridges.

Update Firmware:

  • If possible, ensure that the printer's firmware is updated. Usually, you can do this via HP’s official software utility, but it might require a stable connection to a computer.

I hope this helps.
