Hi we bought a HP Laserjet FP 135w in a big departement store here in Malawi.

SN Edited.

At first power up, it askes for my country and it only offers asian countries, like Indonesia, Singapore Philipines...

Nothing in Afrika.

I am not sure what to chose because I will have to buy toner and do not want to run in geoblocking issues.

Someone at the store shoud know, especially if they sell toners.

note that If you did not register your product with HP when you bought it then the warranty you will see is based on date of manufacture, not date of purchase. You can update the warranty status by contacting HP and providing a proof of purchase.

Or contact the closest authorized service center

To contact an agent:
your support page
Select the product you need help with and scroll down to support options.
Select "Contact us". You can change country and language if necessary.

You probably should register with HP's CarePack to obtain email and phone number support
How do I contact the Care Pack Registration team ?

Note that it is not free.

This is basically a user to user forum, but I notified a moderator to have an HP Agent contact you.

Hi @wasteadvisers

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for bringing this to our notice. We'd hate for you to be stuck in a situation like this. Because you matter to us.

Let me  assist you with the steps to perform factory reset on your printer.

These steps are specific to the printer and I am afraid trying on a different printer might brick it.

I'm sending you a private message to guide you on the next steps.

To access it, click the private message icon in the upper-right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your name.

If this resolves your issue, kindly mark this post as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" if it was helpful.

Take care and have a great day!

Regards,
