My CP1518ni seems to run faster when I print a plain text document with a simple font (Arial, Times New Roman, etc) than when I have another font or image.
It clicks and runs faster during this time.
Here’s a video:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MTsUxCCfEXvxS0bV6ICJNmNPjKRk2oDG/view?usp=drivesdk
the first two pages have a custom font, and the second two have a plain text font (Arial)

Some fonts are embedded in the printer which means less data is sent so printer can happen faster. If you are using a non-native font then time is added to the process to format the fonts. From the control panel of the printer you can print out a report that shows all the native fonts that are installed.
