Printer has a working power supply, checked by an electricity tester, but will not turn on.

Printer (4PA42A) turned off and is unable to turn on. The power button is pushed inside the printer and is unable to be clicked. Trying to open the printer by printing something also does not work. I have tried all the default solutions - like unplugging replugging power, resetting computer, and checked the outlet. Please help if you could.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are facing an issue with your Printer that is not powering on.

Please follow the steps below to fix the issue.

- Perform a power drain on the printer.

1) Take out the cartridges

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall outlet directly, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Remove the cartridges > Unplug the power cord > Wait for 30 seconds > Plug the power cord back in > Insert the cartridges

- Update the printer firmware by clicking on this link if the printer turns on.

- If the issue still persists, try with an alternate power cable that is compatible with your printer.

If the power button is stuck that will be the reason that the printer will not turn on. You need to find a way to unstick the button. That might require removing the panel where the button is located.
