My printer started to have issues connecting with my MacBook Air. Items would get stuck in the queue, or things just wouldn't start printing. Support forums said I should update the firmware and use HP easy start. Well, the firmware updater gets stuck and says "Something is wrong with your device. Device is in error state and cannot be reflashed because of this. Resolve the problem and try again". Support forums said I should hard rest my printer, restart my computer, and reset my printing systems. I have hard reset my printer multiple times. I have restarted my computer multiple times. I have reset my printing system multiple times. The error message is still occurring, and not even the HP easy start app can complete its job. Please help, I need to print for my job.

Hi @lilincubine
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd suggest, connecting the printer your your Mac using a USB and then trying the firmware installation. Once the USB is connected, download and install the firmware using this link.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
