HP LaserJet M110we Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I just changed my wifi network password. That was a mistake. I'm on Windows 11 with a Laserjet M110we.

I managed to reconnect the printer by choosing Add/Set Up Printer in the HP Smart app. I could see no other way of talking to it, and no Remove option. I tried to print the first two pages of a PDF, but the job just sat in a queue. Yes, I'm using HP cartridges. Yes, it was connected to the network. Yes, there was paper in it. I couldn't find a "So Print It, Then" button. The Printers & Scanners window in Windows also showed the job in a queue. So I pressed Remove. Instead of clearing the job, this removed the printer, of course. Of course.

So I'm now in a kind of Twilight Zone where HP Smart sees the printer (although it is convinced it is out of paper, for some reason), but it does not appear in Windows print menus.

I went back to Windows Printers & Scanners, and chose Add Device. This brought back the option in my print menus, but it is subtly different. There is no double-sided option, which is what I want right now. I'm guessing this is some default Windows print driver, in place of the HP one.

Please someone tell me what to do. I cannot start again by adding the printer to the HP Smart app, as the app already sees it and there is - as I said at the top - no Remove option.

Never mind. I rebooted the printer, and added it again in the Windows Printers & Scanners window. And the double-sided printing option is back. Sorry.
