Hello,
I need to install the printer in a network with different VLAN's with MAC OS and Windows machines. The MAC OS Easy Start Install package can't find the printer at the different subnet although I can access it's web configuration page.
I changed the printer to a port in the same VLAN and sucessfully installed the printer software. Is there any possible way to do this without changing the VLAN configuration?
Thanks,
Andre

Hi,
Try installing its drivers from the link below, without using HP Easy Start:
Once done see if you may able to add the printer to your Mac via System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, be sure to select the printer model within the Use drop-down menu.
Hope that may helps,
Shlomi

Hi,
They must be on a SAME network to be able to see each other. For printers which support HP ePrint with email addresses you can send supported file formats to their email addresses to print otherwise they MUST be on a SAME network and SAME subnet.
For large companies, the setup can be many differences. If this is the case, please use other forum:

Hi,
Thanks for your reply! I was really looking for the base drivers without the GUI installation. Missed it on my search in the HP support page.
As this VLAN is a new VLAN for printers I changed the printer VLAN port to the same subnet. This way I could install the printer drivers to the machines I needed, afterwards I changed the printer back to it's VLAN and added a new printer to those machines with the correct VLAN address and deleted the printer created during the drivers installation.
Best regards,
Andre
