Printer is not printing. When using Print and Scan Doctor it is asking for my admin password, but not not accepting my password

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

 

Try these steps:

Check Printer Connection:

  • Verify that the printer is connected to your computer via USB cable or Wi-Fi network.
    • Turn off the printer, unplug the power cord, wait for 30 seconds, and plug it back in. Turn on the printer again.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support and Drivers page and search for your printer model.
  • Download and install the latest drivers for your HP ENVY 6452e printer.

Use HP Smart App:

  • Download the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store.
  • Use the app to add your printer and carry out diagnostics.

Reset Administrator Password:

  • If the password for the administrator is not working, you may need to reset it.
  • Go to the HP Embedded Web Server (EWS) to reset the admin password:
    • Open a web browser on a device connected to the same network as the printer.
    • Enter the printer's IP address into the browser's address bar.
    • Navigate to the Security tab to reset or change the admin password.Run HP Print and Scan Doctor in Compatibility Mode:
  • Right-click the HP Print and Scan Doctor executable file.
  • Select properties > Compatibility tab.
  • Check the box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and choose Windows 10.
  • Apply the settings and try running the utility again to see if the administrator password is accepted.

Check Printer Settings

  • Ensure your printer is set as the default printer.
  • Check that there are no pending error messages on the printer’s display screen.

Clear Print Queue:

  • Open Devices and Printers on your Windows 11 PC.
  • Right-click on your HP ENVY 6452e printer and select See what’s printing.
  • Cancel all pending print jobs.
