@Wilson0411, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're seeing a message that your HP OfficeJet Pro 8139e All-in-One Printer is idle and being prompted to check the printer driver. Let's walk through the steps to get your printer back up and running.
Check Printer Connection
Make sure your printer is properly connected:
- For USB: Ensure the cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer.
- For Wireless: Confirm the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your PC. You can check this on the printer's control panel under Wireless Settings.
Update or Reinstall the Printer Driver
Sometimes the driver may be outdated or misconfigured. Here's how to fix it:
Uninstall the current driver:
- On your PC, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your printer and select Remove device.
- Then, go to Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a program, and uninstall any HP printer software.
Download and install the latest driver:
- Visit the official HP support page for your printer:
Official HP® Support - Click “Choose a different OS” if needed, then download the Full Feature Software and Driver.
- Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
Restart Devices
After reinstalling the driver:
- Restart your printer.
- Restart your computer.
- Try printing again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
