I have tried using the "keep" function on the printer queue to see where the document is trapped but it doesn't appear on that (tested with another document). So it is the printer itself that is spitting out this document continuously.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printer software but it makes no difference.  Any ideas how the printer itself seems to be holding this in its own memory.

Turns out another computer that was connected remotely to my printer had somehow managed to have 177,000 of the same document in its print queue - so those are now being cancelled. Problem solved!

Welcome to the HP Community.

If the document is not originating in the job queue - and particularly if you have cleared the queue and restarted Print Services, the source is a mystery.

Some context would help...

Is the document something you recognize?  Perhaps a document you printed in the past?

Or - is the document a test page or perhaps a diagnostic page from the printer?

Are you the only one who uses the computer to send jobs to the printer?

Are there any other devices that regularly send jobs to the printer (iPhone, iPad, for example)?

If the printer itself is generating the document, does it do so when you have other devices shut down?

For example if the computer and other devices used to print are switched "off" and you switch on the printer, does it print the unnamed document?
