HP Officejet Pro8025e
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought an HP Officejet Pro 8025e for home office use.  Followed the instructions to a "T".  Did not want the ink replenish program.  Setup was completed but could not print because my computer kept telling me that I was not finished setting up my printer.   I could see my printer on the network, and it should have had no problem printing.  I found out it was because I didn't agree to be in the "ink purchasing program" thanks to all of you on the board.  That is very dirty and borderline criminal. I will think twice before I purchase another HP product.

@SherryD1, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

It is not mandate to enroll the printer in Instant Ink. You may choose to skip it. However, I see that you are using an HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-in-One Printer(HP+ capable).

This means you get 6 months of free ink if you enroll it in Instant Ink. Again, it is optional. For more info on HP+ printing, refer to this document.

For assistance with printer setup, refer to -  Setup Using HP Smart App (Windows 10, MacOS)

  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network. Either 2.4 or 5GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
