My HP ENVY 5070 All-in-One Printer worked fine until we moved it from one room to the other and re-hooked it up. Now it will not automatically print double sided.
The chat bot and the directions all say to click on duplex printing, but the only option offered is manual. I want to go back to when it did it automatically.
Suggestions?
Thanks!

Hi @Lisa-Printing,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
There could be several reasons why your HP Envy 5070 All-in-One Printer is no longer automatically printing double-sided. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.
- Check the printer settings: Make sure that the printer is set to automatically print double-sided. Open the printer software on your computer, and look for an option like "duplex printing" or "double-sided printing." Make sure this option is selected.
- Check the printer driver: Make sure that you have the latest printer driver installed on your computer. You can download the latest driver from the HP website. Sometimes, a printer driver update can fix issues with automatic double-sided printing.
- Check the paper tray: Make sure that the paper tray is properly loaded with the correct type of paper. Some printers may not automatically print double-sided if the paper is too thick or too thin.
- Check the printer hardware: Check the printer's control panel for any error messages or warnings. If there is a problem with the printer hardware, it may not be able to automatically print double-sided.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Thanks. I had already tried all those tricks. The most frustrating being that while duplex printing was checked, the only option was to do it manually. Very strange.
I opted to change the default printer to HP Print ( same printer, different something or other) and now it works fine.
Thanks so much for taking the time.
