Computer is connected to the Wireless network but Printer display shows it is not connected to the network. Using Set up is difficult to use and does not scroll up or down the page. The Printer is showing on the printers page of the computer and registers Ready. I noticed that the display on the printer is registering the old BT Hub and not the new one, but I cannot get in to change it. I can run COPY but it does not always work and will not put print on the page. The only thing that I have done lately that I can think of is a driver update. Help would be appreciated.

Greetings @Santa11

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are looking to reconfigure the printer on your new network as the printer says that it is connected to the old network.

Not to worry, I will be glad to help.

You are able to make copies on the printer, is that right?

Recommend you follow the procedure mentioned below to uninstall the printer software and settings completely.

Once the printer settings and software is removed.

Restart your computer and install the full feature software from this link, please setup the printer using USB connection.

Once the printer is working fine with USB connection, refer to this HP Article to convert the USB connection to wireless.

Uninstall the printer from "programs and features" which can be accessed by doing a right-click on the Windows button (Please have the printer Off and disconnected during uninstallation.)

Check in device manager, if the printer is listed there, please delete it. (Right click on the Windows button to access device manager)

Go to devices and printers, select any printer listed there and you will get some options on the top.

Click on print server properties.

You will get a popup, click on the drivers tab and delete all the HP printer drivers listed there, if any.

Delete all the instances of your printer listed in devices and printers.

Restart the PC.

Once the PC is on the desktop, press Win + R, it would bring a Run dialog box,

Type %temp% in the run box and click Ok or hit the Enter button.

It would bring up the temporary files folder. Delete the files in the folder (You might not be able to delete all the files, ignore them).

If possible, delete the printer from the registries using Regedit or using any other 3rd party application.

Restart the PC again.

Download the latest full feature driver from www.hp.com/drivers or from this link and install it on the computer.

Connect the printer to your computer only when the setup prompts for the printer.

Once the printer is working fine with USB connection, refer to this HP Article to convert the USB connection to wireless.

Let me know if this helped.

Although the printer goes through the process of copying it returns a blank sheet of paper. New HP cartridges have been fitted. I will await your answer before I proceed.

Hi @Santa11,

Thank you for your reply, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that the printer is registering the old hub and does not detect the new one and also the copy is blank.

It looks like you were interacting with @Chimney_83, but he is out of the office today so I'll take over from here.

This issue could be a hardware issue with the scanner as the copy is blank.

I suggest that you print a diagnostic page to check the printing functionality of the unit.

  1. Load Letter or A4, unused, plain white paper into the input tray.

  2. Press the Power button () to turn on the product.

  3. On the product touch screen, touch the Right Arrow () to display the second navigation screen.

  4. Touch the Setup icon () on the control panel display. The Setup Menu displays.

  5. Touch the Down Arrow (), and then touch Reports.

  6. Touch Print Quality Report. The self-test report prints.

If the self-test report prints fine, then you may follow the steps to reset the network settings on the printer.

To reset the printer's network settings:

1. Touch right arrow, touch Network, touch Restore Network Defaults, and then select Yes. A message appears stating that the network defaults have been restored.

2. Touch right arrow, touch Reports, and then select Print Network Configuration Page to print the network configuration page and verify that the network settings have been reset.

Now, you may follow this link to connect the printer to the network: Setting Up the Printer for a Wireless Network in Windows for the HP Officejet Pro 7500A e-All-in-One...

Let me know if this works.

You have a good day ahead.

Following your instructions most of the time, I have managed to get a wireless set up working almost! The printer registers that it is on the network, but the display panel up and down arrows will not move or the continue.  I have run a Print test page and a diagnostic page from the computer, the colours come out lovely but  the black print does not show. The ink status shows that they are all full, they were bought at the same time and fitted together, but the black is not printing for some reason. Thank you for your help it is appreciated.

Hi @Santa11,

Thank you for your reply, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that the printer does not print in black.

This issue could occur if the printhead is expired or defective.

Please follow the link: Black Ink Not Printing
