Please help. My printer suddenly stopped printing in colour. There is no option to select colour or 'greyscale'. Test prints DO print in colour, but nothing else. I have uninstalled everything, reinstalled and still not working. I have searched help pages and have tried everything, still nothing. I found one piece of advice in which i selected 'print background colours and images' which solved the problem for about a day but now only black and white again. There is plenty of ink etc,  and I have checked all the obvious problems.

Hi,

Try following below version of the HP Print and Scan Doctor Utility by selecting your printer:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe

 

Be sure to restart your PC and allow the utility to complete the process, then check for any difference.

 

Try printing and check for any change, if the same remains try printing using the newly added print queue copy and check.

Hi Shiomil,

Tried your solution for my HP Pinter only printing on Black. Unfortunately it did not work. I do not think it is a HP Printer problem - test pages OK - but a Microsoft windows 10 problem. It is when I ask for a print it seems to default to monochrome.

since I have the same problem, can you explain which suggestion worked, "wed site" is that "web site?"
And if yes, which website was suggestedl, because the hp doctor doesn't work for me at all.
