HP Smart Tank 670 All-in-One
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

USB connected printer in frequent use now not recognized by Win (no driver) nor HP Smart. Scan still seems to work.  Pls advise.

Try uninstalling the HP smart app and reinstalling it. And follow the steps from this document.

Hi Elohi_NR, 

Thx for the advice.

 

Did try to remove & reinstall HP Smart but still could not find the (usb-connected) printer which I could successfully scan with. (My experience w/ HP Smart is that it rarely helps.)

However, the problem has now been solved after running "print & scan doctor". I have resumed printing as before. 

in any case, thanks again.
