Yesterday, I replaced my modem/router with an Hitron Modem Router Model CODA-5712. My HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e series printer cannot see my network SSID. About 12 of my neighbor's SSIDs show up.
I have done network reset and even a factory reset. I have powered everything off and turned on. I have quit the band steering and given separate names to the two bandwidths (same ones as my old modem/router).
Our phones, computers and Sonos speakers (2.4Ghz connection) have all seen the networks and connected fine.
I have changed the security modes of both bandwidths to WPA-WPA2-AES. At one point, I put it to "Open" and the printer still did not see the network.
I also made sure there were no updates to my printer. It is up to date.
I also tried to do a WPS connection several times and that also was not successful.
I can plug into my computer or the modem to print but that is not an option for our home office setup.
Any other suggestions on what more I can try?

Well, I kept tinkering.
I kept my band steering turned off and have the 5g and 2.4g with different SSIDs.
My brother suggested that I try tethering my printer by USB to my computer and try connecting to wireless that way.

This document gives some instructions. I followed the instructions for Mac and under step 1
"Use a temporary USB connection to connect to wireless in the printer software"
I was able to put the SSID and password (for the 2.4g) and the printer connected!!
I have no idea if I can connect if I go back and allow my router to band steer and repeat the connection process above. For now...I am happy that I have access to my printer.
