HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer

Hello,

I can’t get my printer to work HP Envy 6055e

Ink is not an issue

The WiFi is not the issue, it’s right next to the router (blue light steady)

Copy works fine

unable to send anything to print from iOS phone and Mac

Any suggestions?

FYI: I also performed the following steps without any luck.

Reset the printer (hard reset)

Restarted router, laptop(s), phones, printer

Got an alignment printout and successfully scanned it

Latest firmware is installed.

Not sure what else to do here - really troubling that HP can't help

Hi @Printerdontwor1 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP ENVY 6055e All-In-One Printer. Here are some steps you can follow:

Restart Printer and Devices:

  • Turn off your printer, iOS phone, and Mac.
  • Unplug the printer from the power source, wait for 60 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Restart your iOS phone and Mac.

Check Printer Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to the same WiFi network as your iOS phone and Mac.
  • On your printer, verify that the WiFi light is solid blue, indicating a stable connection.

Update Firmware and Drivers: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can check for firmware updates via the HP Smart app or the printer's control panel.
  • Ensure that the latest printer drivers are installed on your Mac. You can download the latest drivers from the HP Support website.

Re-add Printer to iOS and Mac:

  • iOS: Go to Settings > WiFi, ensure you are connected to the same network, then open the app you are printing from, tap the share icon, and select Print. Make sure your printer is selected.
  • Mac: Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners. Remove the existing printer and re-add it by clicking the "+" button and selecting your HP ENVY 6055e.

Reset Printing System (Mac):

  • Open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  • Right-click (or control-click) in the printer list and select "Reset printing system".
  • Confirm the reset, then re-add your printer by clicking the "+" button.

Check HP Smart App:

  • Ensure the HP Smart app is installed and updated on both your iOS phone and Mac.
  • Open the HP Smart app and follow the setup instructions to add your printer.

AirPrint Issues (iOS):

  • Ensure your printer supports AirPrint and that it is enabled.
  • Try printing from a different app to see if the issue persists.

Network Configuration:

  • Make sure your router is not blocking the printer. Check your router's settings for any access control or firewall settings that might be affecting the printer.

Test Print from Another Device:

  • Try printing from another device (Windows PC or another Mac) to see if the issue is specific to your iOS phone and Mac.
