I purchased an HL Deskjet 4255e less than a year ago. It has never worked properly. I have called the HP Printer Customer Support number at least 7 or 8 different times. The first time I was told my problem was in my network. I called the network people and paid to have them come out. They checked everything and explained to me exactly what they were doing. Their conclusion was that the network was fine. I called HP back - this time the fellow who spoke to me told me my problem was with my computer and they would be happy to sell me an insurance policy for $500. The next time I called I got someone who worked with me and got everything working fine. I thought my problems were over. We had a area wide blackout 3 weeks ago and now the printer isn't working again. I called customer support again and was told since the copy function was working my problem was with my network and they would be happy to sell me insurance. I have owned HP printers going all the way back to the LaserJet IIP. I won't buy another. Customer service is NOT servicing the customer. They must get a bonus for the number of insurance policies they sell.

Hi @Michael-24
1. HP doesn´t sell insurance policies, you maybe are talking to someone who is not official HP Support.
2. HP Support options:
- Contact HP+ Support
- https://support.hp.com/us-en/help/hp-plus
- HP Support Services
- >> https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/slp/consumer-support-services/hp-smartfriend
- HP Store USA - Contact

3. Also if you have some specific issue with your printer you can ask here in this Forum, providing more details about the issue.
4. For example if you need to setup your Wifi network on your printer you can follow steps from the next video:
