I keep getting 'printer offline' error message - I guess whenever there are updates on either HP or Windows?

 

I shut down and restart.  No joy.

 

I have uninstalled and reinstalled printer. No joy.

 

Here are my steps:

 

Add printer.  Finds printer (sometimes).  Enter the WPS PIN for your printer - sometimes works sometimes doesn't.

 

I get inconsistent error messages when adding the printer via the settings->printers & scanners window on my laptop:

'Driver is unavailable' - I get the option to uninstall printer only.  Where can I download the correct drivers?

'Status unavailable' - clicking on this status gives nothing

 

I have tried to update drivers but clearly either I haven't done it correctly, or it's not working.  Where should I download these from?

 

Any suggestions gratefully received.  I am trying to homeschool and printing out worksheets is really helpful for my children.  I am frazzled now!!

I have same problem here. Hope someone here from HP can help to come out with a solution. The HP Smart or the diagnostic feature simple tell me it cannot fix the driver problem. I am pretty sure it is due to problem of HP driver not compatible with the latest Windows 10 updates.

I try to update driver via Device Manager and the error message said :

1. Windows encountered a problem installing the driver for your device

2. Windows found drivers for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install (HP DJ 2700 series PCL-3)

3. An error occurred during the installation of the device:

4. The driver cannot be installed because it is either not digitally signed or not signed in the appropriate manner. Contact your hardware vendor.

You can try the website for solution. I never try. Dare not to mess up my new computer. The problem is due to Win10 cannot verify the HP Driver or Microsoft called it Unsigned Driver. For more info, you can google Driver Signature Verification on 64-bit Win10.
