That doesn't seem right... Printers support adjusting the paper size / type.
HP Smart Mobile applications do require that you set / adjust the paper type and size before you open the content to be printed / shared / saved.
Example - Check / Adjust / Retain Paper Size & Type - Tray and Paper Management
