First off, your options Menu for Operating System is about 3 years behind for macOS. I am using macOS 15.4 and only version 12.0 is available. I see that Windows' latest OS is listed... Windows 11!
I have selected #10 envelope in Apple's Pages.app for the page setup. I have landscape selected. I saved the document as a PDF and attempted to print. Every time the "To" address is chopped off half way across the #10 envelope and the top 1 inch of the return to address section too.
I have tried different methods to get this to print, even making a custom envelope size of 4.125 x 9.5 in Page setup with no borders and it still prints exactly the same way.
I restarted the printer as well.
I can print a full page of 8.5 x 11 text with this printer so it's not a cartridge issue.

Thank you for trying to figure this out.
After 6 misprinted envelopes and 2 sheets of letter size paper I figured it out:
I had to "Reset Printing System..." in macOS Printing and Scanners in Settings and then re-add the printer.
I also restarted the HP printer.
To do this you will need to right click on the HP printer and choose that menu item.
Immediately afterwards the envelopes printed out correctly.

@twodollars, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing difficulties printing envelopes from Apple's Pages application on your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283cdw printer. This issue has been noted by other users as well, and several steps can help resolve it.
Load Envelopes Correctly:
Ensure that envelopes are loaded in the printer's manual feed tray (Tray 1). Insert the envelopes with the flap side down and facing up, aligning them according to the printer's guidelines. Avoid using Tray 2 for envelope printing, as it may lead to jams or misfeeds.
Set Up Envelope Printing in Pages:
Open your document in Pages.
Navigate to File > Print.
In the print dialog, click on Show Details.
Set the Paper Size to Envelope
Under Media & Quality, select Envelope as the media type.
Ensure that the paper source is set to Tray 1 (Manual Feed).
Disable Print Dialog Extensions:
Some printer software and applications use Print Dialog Extensions (PDEs) that might interfere with printing. Disabling them can help resolve the issue:
Go to Apple Menu > System Settings.
Click on Printers & Scanners.
Select your HP printer from the list and click Options & Supplies.
Check the box for Use Generic Printer Features.
Click OK to apply the changes.
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows only):
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. Follow the prompts to diagnose and fix common printing issues.
Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)
- Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
