Welcome to the HP User Community.

Printer was manufactured to use HP paper.

That said, the printer can likely use most high-quality paper brands.

Economy paper brands, perhaps not-so-much - it is generally best to avoid low-quality paper.

What about paper sizes and types of paper?

Notes

Photo paper is supported to 250 gsm. For example, HP Advanced Photo paper is available in this weight.

"Card" paper is generally defined as "Index" paper.  Index paper is an ISO paper type. HP Card or Index card is not considered "Card Stock".  HP Card paper / Index paper is supported to 200 gsm.

Brochure and Professional paper are generally the same thing.  Brochure paper comes in two print surfaces:  Matte and Glossy.  HP Brochure / Professional papers are 180 gsm in weight.

Note about Printing Labels

If you do not see "label paper" in your print software dialog selection / list,

If your label paper is within the weight category for "Card" or "Brochure" paper,

Select Brochure or Professional paper as the media (paper) type.

Envelopes, "Other" paper, and Plain paper are supported from 75-90 gsm.
