Hi @GP24450,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP DeskJet Ink Advantage Ultra 4720 is printing duplicate pages every time you print, it could be due to a variety of issues related to settings, drivers, or software conflicts. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve this problem:

**1. Check Printer Settings

Print Settings:

  • Open the document you want to print and go to the Print dialog box.
  • Check the print settings to ensure that you haven’t inadvertently selected options for multiple copies or duplicate pages.

Printer Preferences:

  • Go to Control Panel (Windows) or System Preferences (Mac).
  • Open Printers & Scanners, select your HP DeskJet 4720, and then go to Manage or Printer Properties.
  • Look for the Printing Preferences tab and ensure that options for multiple copies or duplicate pages are not selected.

**2. Check for Software Issues

Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Sometimes, reinstalling the printer drivers can resolve issues. Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your model.
  • Uninstall the current printer driver from your computer, restart your computer, and then install the new driver.

Update Printer Software:

  • Ensure that the HP software (like HP Smart) is up to date. Outdated software can sometimes cause printing issues.

**3. Inspect the Print Queue

  • Clear Print Queue:
    • Open Printers & Scanners on your computer.
    • Select your HP DeskJet 4720 and open the print queue.
    • Clear any pending print jobs that might be causing the issue.

**4. Perform a Printer Reset

  • Reset the Printer:
    • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
    • Wait for about 60 seconds.
    • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

**5. Check for Firmware Updates

  • Update Firmware:
    • Visit the HP Support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model.
    • Follow the instructions to update the firmware if an update is available.

**6. Test with Different Documents

  • Print a Test Page:
    • Try printing a test page or a different document to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is document-specific or a general issue with the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
