HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e All-in-One Printer
macOS 26.0 Tahoe

Error is that printer prints a 3 envelope job double-sided, on 2 envelopes: p3 upside down on back of one envelope, then p1 upside down on back of second envelope and p2 upright on front of second envelope.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e, Mac mini, OS Tahoe 26.2 (same error using Sequoia).

Safari word processor document, Paper: Envelope #10, landscape orientation, no header/footer

Print setup: Print in color, double-sided OFF, Paper Type Auto, Quality Normal, Layout 1 page/sheet,

Paper Handling Collate Sheets - All Sheets

Envelopes loaded bottom-up with top to the left

 

This error is new x 1 week. Envelopes prev. printed successfully using Sequoia. Error began using OS Sequoia and did not repair with upgrade to Tahoe.

It appears there is an issue with the HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e incorrectly printing envelopes double-sided, even when the double-sided option is turned off. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:
 

Check Printer Settings:
 

  • Ensure that the duplex (double-sided) printing option is completely disabled in both the document setup and the printer driver settings.
  • Open the print dialog and confirm that the printer is set to "Single-sided" printing.


Printer Driver Update:
 

  • Ensure that you have the latest printer driver installed. You can download the latest drivers from the Official HP® Support specific to your printer model.


Paper Handling:
 

  • Double-check how the envelopes are being loaded into the printer. Make sure they are loaded according to the printer's manual for single-sided printing.


Print with Different Software:
 

  • Try printing the envelopes using a different word processor or software to see if the issue persists. This could help determine if the problem lies with the current software you are using.


Reset Print System:
 

  • Consider resetting the Mac print system. Go to "System Preferences" > "Printers & Scanners", right-click in the printer list, and select "Reset printing system". This will remove all printers, and you will need to add them again.


Firmware Update:
 

  • Ensure your printer firmware is up to date. Sometimes firmware updates fix known issues.


Document Settings:
 

  • Confirm that the document settings in the software do not have any hidden print settings that could cause double-sided printing.
