Hi! I am having printer issues. I have an HP ENVY 5643. Everything has been working great until one day it just stopped. When I go to print something it tells me there are no printers installed. When I disconnect my firewire USB cable the computer detects the connection or disconnection because it makes that Windows noise. When I go to devices it sees the printer. When I go to device manager it sees the printer.
I tried removing all HP software and reinstalling everything. Again the same symptoms...the computer sees the printer. The computer even says it is connected to the printer but for whatever reason says there is no printer installed. I have also tried connecting the printer through my home router. The printer connects to the router, gets an IP, and the computer again sees the printer and it's IP. But in this instance it says the computer says the printer is connected but not fully installed.
I have tried the Printer Cleanup Utility but the computer doesn't even see the printer so this troubleshooting method will not work for me; I have tried this utility with both setups and it does not detect either.
When I go through Windows Settings the computer can see the printer. I can click on Hardware Properties and the device status says the device is working properly; name of the printer also shows up in the device driver. If I click on Scanner Properties there is a Test Scanner option; when I run that it tells me the scanner successfully completed its diagnostic test.
I do not know what else to try. I have tried reinstalling all the different drivers from HPs website.
