Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It sounds like your HP OfficeJet Pro 8130e is stuck on the QR code screen after a factory reset, preventing you from getting it back online. Here are some steps to try:
1. Perform a Hard Reset
- Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer while it is still on.
- Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet (avoid power strips).
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer and turn it on.
2. Try Setting Up via HP Smart App
- Open the HP Smart App on your Windows 11 PC or mobile device.
- Tap Add Printer and follow the on-screen instructions.
- If the printer isn’t detected, try connecting it via USB instead of Wi-Fi.
3. Restore Factory Defaults Again
- If the printer remains stuck, try resetting it again using the control panel.
- Follow this video guide for detailed steps on restoring factory defaults.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it could be a firmware bug or a hardware failure.

Thank you for the reply. This didn't work. The screen remains on the QR code and touching the screen doesn't work. I attempted to restart with USB cable and even performed the troubleshoot, which didn't find any issue. Nothing is allowing me to restart this printer.
It is under warranty.
