Hi @LUCY5073,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're experiencing some frustration with your new printer. Let's try to troubleshoot the issue together. Here are some steps you can take.

  • Check Printer Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If it's a wireless printer, make sure it's connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
  • Restart Printer: Turn off your printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve minor issues.
  • Check Printer Queue: Go to your computer's printer queue or print spooler and see if there are any documents stuck in the queue. If so, try cancelling them and then try printing again.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Make sure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. You can usually find these on the HP website.
  • Check Printer Settings: Ensure that the printer settings, such as paper size and paper type, match the settings of your document. Sometimes mismatched settings can cause printing issues.
  • Test with a Different Document: Try printing a different document or file to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the printer or the specific document.
  • Reset Printer: If none of the above steps work, you may need to reset your printer to its factory settings. Refer to the printer's user manual for instructions on how to do this.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
