Printer setup stops at "press Information button" pressing

I am installing latest software & drivers for my HP tank 2504dw. I reset it to factory settings earlier today. 

I have downloaded the latest driver from the HP support page. When I run the software, all is well until I get to the dialog in the screenshot below. 

I press the Information button on my control panel for the printer, when that light/button flashes. However, regardless of whether I press it for a second, or for a minute, the setup process never goes beyond this. The button stops flashing after I press it, but the setup stays frozen at this step.

What can I do?

The issue was I only needed to hold the Information button down for a second. Holding it down for longer than that, made the Information light stop blinking, and got the setup dialog stuck. If that was so important, it would have been better to have included instructions for holding it down for only one second, somewhere in the dialog.
