Does anyone know how to get the HP Printer Assistant software?   I have on current PC and trying to put on my new PC.

The Printer Assistant is part of the Full Feature Software.

 

Download-save-install the software

HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus/Premium e-All-in-One Printer series - N911a-n Full Feature Software and D...

After the software installs, Restart the computer and log in.

 

If the installation asks you to continue "online", you can X out of this part and confirm to "Skip this".

 

After the software is installed, the Printer Assistant shortcut icon named for the printer should have been added to the Desktop.

 

Double-click on the shortcut to open the Printer Assistant.

It can take several seconds for the software to open - maybe 15 seconds or so...

If the software installation fails the "device setup" phase where the software is connecting to the network, start over and consider installing the software using Compatibility.

 

Method – Manual – Set Compatibility

 

Download and Save the Full Feature Software to your computer

Navigate to your Downloads folder and open the folder so you can view the contents

Right-Click on the downloaded installation file > Properties > Compatibility 

Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for"

Select Windows 7

Click Apply and OK to close the Properties menu

Right-Click on the program and select to Run as Administrator

 

After the software installs, Restart the computer and log in.
