Product: OfficeJet Pro 8715
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

When I try to print, an error message comes up, "One or more components of the HP printing software are corrupted or missing.  The print job cannot be completed.  To fix this situation, HP recommends reinstalling the print driver software."  I have tried and it seems it installed for a 8500 as that is what shows up after the install.  What can i do to correct this?

Hi,

Please follow HP Easy Start below:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

 

  • After the software downloads, open HP Easy Start.
  • Click File, and then select Uninstall HP Software... from the menu.
    Figure : Select Uninstall HP Software...

  • Read any warnings that display, and then click Continue.
  • When prompted, type your administrator user name and password.
  • HP Uninstaller removes all HP printer software previously installed.
  • If you are reinstalling the HP printer software, click Set Up New Device, and then follow the instructions to install the printer with HP EasyStart.

May you now see any difference?

When I click on the link that ends with ...... _Start.app.zip, I get about:blank in the address box.  Can't download anything, what now?

Try downloading it with another browser such as Safari or Chrome and check for any difference, the link does work as I could verify.
