HP Color Laser MFP 178nwg
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dear Community,

a few days ago my Printer (HP Color Laser MFP 178nwg) started to blink red on the warning light and then just stopped working. I plugged in plugged out several time but nothing. It wouldn't start up and just show an empty text field. Since today as soon as I give energy to the printer it displays "System Initialize" but still nothing its working. I've found several posts already on this Forum but always the answer was send in private due to it seems to vary for different printers.

Would highly appreciate some help on this.

Best regards

Julian

Hi @Julian9417,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.

Let's try NVRAM reset and see if that helps.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instructions to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
