uninstall printer driver and install it again and check

is it connected through usb? what it says on printer display?

On wire-less connection, both the printer and the printer assistan on the desktop will show the last document as " printing" even though that document printed 5 minutes ago, so any other print pages are just sitting there until the " printed" one disappears from the list. If I try to delete the " printed" page, nothing happens. So, for instance this morning it took me 40 minutes to print 6 pages...........and none of them had very many words on them. HP help is worse than useless.....
