@Don565, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the Touchpad issues!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer by pressing the power button.
  • Wait for a few seconds before turning it back on.

Check for Error Messages:

  • Ensure there are no error messages displayed on the printer or the computer associated with it. If there are, resolve them before proceeding further.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve touchpad issues. Check the HP website for any available updates for your printer model.

Verify Connections:

  • Make sure the printer is connected properly to the power source. Unplug and replug it if needed.

Reset the Printer:

  • With the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the power source.
  • Wait 60 seconds, then reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet and the printer.

Check for Physical Damage:

  • Inspect the touchpad for any visible signs of damage. If it's physically damaged, you might need a repair or replacement.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
