HP DeskJet 2755e All-in-One Printer

Hi HP Community,

I’m experiencing an issue with my HP DeskJet 2755e All-in-One Printer. The printer is unable to connect to HP+, and I consistently receive the following error:

Error Code: UA_200_OWSVD00001

I’ve already attempted the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Factory reset
  • Reconnected to Wi-Fi
  • Re-added the printer via the HP Smart app
  • Power cycled both the printer and router

Despite these efforts, the error persists. Has anyone else encountered this issue, or does HP Support have a resolution path for this specific error code?

Appreciate any guidance or support.

Thanks,
Kanu

Hi @KS2309,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand that you're encountering the error UA_200_OWSVD00001 when trying to connect your HP DeskJet 2755e All-in-One Printer to HP+, despite performing several effective troubleshooting steps already.

This specific error typically indicates a problem communicating with HP’s HP+ activation or Instant Ink validation services. It usually occurs during the initial web services setup, or if there's a temporary outage or account mismatch between your HP Smart app and the HP cloud.

Let's try a few more steps to isolate the issue:

1. Check Your HP Account Region and Printer Match

  • Log in to HP Smart via browser.
  • Ensure your country/region matches the one selected during printer setup.
  • If there's a mismatch (e.g., India vs USA), HP+ activation will fail with errors like this.
  • Delete and re-add the printer if needed using the correct regional settings.

2. Turn Off/Re-Enable Web Services Manually

If the printer is stuck during HP+ activation:

  1. Open HP Smart App → Go to Printer Settings.
  2. Select Advanced Settings (opens Embedded Web Server).
  3. Navigate to Web Services > Remove Web Services.
  4. Wait for the printer to reboot or confirm.
  5. Then, enable Web Services again and retry activation.

3. Try Activation from a Different Network or Mobile Hotspot

If the issue is caused by firewall or DNS restrictions on your Wi-Fi:

  • Try connecting the printer temporarily to a mobile hotspot or a different Wi-Fi network to complete activation.
  • Once activated, switch back to your main Wi-Fi.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!

Hi Vikram,

Thank you again for your continued support and suggestions.

Here’s an update on the steps I’ve taken so far:

Account Region Match:
I’ve confirmed that both my HP Smart account and the printer are set to the USA region.

Web Services Reset:
I disabled and re-enabled Web Services through the Embedded Web Server. The printer rebooted successfully.

Factory Reset (Multiple Times):
I’ve performed a factory reset several times. After each reset, I attempted to set up the printer using the HP Smart app.

During the setup process, the app proceeds to the ink cartridge stage but fails to recognize the cartridges—even though they are the original HP Instant Ink cartridges from November 2024. I’ve carefully removed, reinserted, and cleaned the cartridges and their contacts.

Now, HP Smart is displaying the message:
"Cartridges require HP Instant Ink enrollment."

Because these cartridges are tied to an Instant Ink subscription, I’m unable to proceed with setup or order new cartridges, as the system does not recognize the current ones.

Additionally, the printer now shows as offline in HP Smart, despite multiple power cycles and reconnection attempts.

At this point, I’m stuck and unsure how to proceed. I would truly appreciate any further guidance or steps to help resolve this.

Thank you again,
Kanu
