MY laptop is an HP ENVY dv6 and I also have an HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 5525.
Yesterday I updated my laptop to Windows 10, and then suddenly an update appears in Windows Update for the printer.
This is the update: "Hewlett-Packard - Imaging - Null Print - HP Deskjet 5520 series".
But the update keeps failing to install and giving this error "Error 0x8024200b", and I don't know how to fix the problem. The update only appeared after upgrading to Windows 10, and I since Windows 10's updates are automatic, I can't tell my laptop to stop trying to install this update.
Any help would be really appreciated.

Hi @bleach-eminem,
I would be happy to help you get rid of the error you are seeing. I suggest opening Device Manager and deleting the 'Unknown printer' you will likely see there.
- Click the Right arrow
next to the following entries to expand them, and then look for your printer in each list:
- Printers
- Print queues
- Universal Serial Bus controllers
- Other devices
- If you see a yellow exclamation mark
next to your printer or the phrase Unknown device, continue with the next step.
- If you do not see your printer or a yellow exclamation mark in the list, skip to the next step to uninstall the driver.
- Right-click the HP device/Unknown device entry or the entry with the
symbol, and then click Update Driver Software. The Update Driver Software - Unknown Device wizard opens.
- Click Search automatically for updated driver software. Follow the on-screen instructions to refresh the device manager.
- Repeat these steps for all device entries with the
symbol.

Hi,
I have the same problem on Windows 10 (and Windows 10 Anniversary now, as I've just upgraded.) This is with a HP Photosmart 7520.
The error Windows Update is reporting is:
Hewlett-Packard - Imaging, Other hardware - Null Print - HP Photosmart 7520 series - Error 0x8024200b
Prior to upgrading to Windows 10 Anniversary version Windows appears to be attempting to perform an HP update every day, and failing every day. It looks like upgrading to Anniversary version hasn't resolved this.
Device manager shows all devices as recognised. There are no yellow warning triangles, so the suggested resolutino isn't applicable.
