I have used this very printer and computer to print on note cards in the past however, all of a sudden it wont anymore. It acts like it is but when the note card comes out there is nothing printed on it. If I put a regular piece of paper in there without changing any settings it prints fine.

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support community!
- What is the size of the note card? Is the size of the note card compatible with the printer?
- Are you selecting the correct paper settings on the printer and the application from which you are printing?
- From which application are you trying to print?
These are the supported cards by the printer HP Officejet 4650. Refer this document for complete specifications of the printer.
Let's try these steps:
Step 1: Check the settings on the printer and the printing application
- Open the paper tray and close the paper tray. It would give you a prompt to change the paper settings
- Please select the appropriate paper settings on the printer.
- You can refer to this document for selecting paper settings on your MAC while printing.
- Once the correct settings are selected, try to print
- If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Power Reset
- Make sure this printer is plugged into a direct wall, not a surge protector.
- Turn the printer on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Wait at least 60 seconds
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Try to print, if the issue persists, proceed to the next step.
Step 3: Remove and re-add the printer driver.
- Click the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences.
- Click Printers & Scanners or Print & Scan.
- If your printer is listed, click the name of your printer, then click the minus sign
to delete the printer.
- Click the plus sign
, click Add Printer or Scanner, click the name of your printer.
- Click the Use or Print Using menu, then select the name of your printer.
( For printers connected on Wireless select AirPrint or Secure Airprint)
- Click Add to add the printer to the list.
- Try to print again and check if that fixes the issue
