I updated my wireless network software. My network has the same name and password. When I try to connect the printer to the wireless network it thinks the network is "unsecure".  This is the same issues here:

@kcooney9, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Restoring the wireless defaults and configuring the printer should resolve the issue. I would recommend you follow the steps from the document No Connection after Router or Wi-Fi Settings Change.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I tried restoring the wireless defaults and it still has the same problem.  Any other ideas?  Thanks

@kcooney9,

Thanks for replying!

Check for any router firmware updates if available. Also, try changing the WiFi password and then configure the printer on the network.

Neither of those worked.  I even set up a separate 2.4 only network and it still didn't ask for a password.  Any other ideas?

May I have the exact model name of the printer? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

Let me know.
