@Lin47V, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
If your HP printer is showing a message to check if the drivers are up to date and it’s not printing, don’t worry, I’ll guide you through the steps to fix this.
Option 1: Use HP Smart App (Recommended)
- Download and install the HP Smart app from the HP Smart website - HP Smart
- Open the app and add your printer if it’s not already listed.
- Go to "Printer Settings" > "Advanced Settings".
- Look for "Tools" or "Printer Updates" and follow the prompts to update firmware and drivers.
Option 2: Use HP Support Website
- Visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.
- Enter your printer model (e.g., HP DeskJet 2700) and click Submit.
- Select your operating system if it’s not auto-detected.
- Under Driver-Product Installation Software, download the Full Feature Software and Drivers.
- Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
Option 3: Use Windows Update (for Windows PCs)
- Press Windows + I to open Settings.
- Go to Update & Security > Windows Update.
- Click Check for updates —> Windows may automatically install the latest printer drivers.
After Updating:
- Restart your computer and printer.
- Try printing a test page.
I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.
