Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, my dad has an HP ENVY 5544. He has a laptop that he uses all the time to print off documents; for some reason, when he sends copies to the printer to print, they have all started going into a pdf file on his laptop instead of printing..he thinks he might have done something as he is 78 and just learning about IT...can anyone offer advice, please
