Hi @Derek144,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that you see the error message "Unable to print. Rendering Failed" typically indicates a problem with the printer driver or its configuration. I would request you to please follow the steps:

Clear the Print Spooler

  • Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Find Print Spooler, right‑click → Stop.
  • Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS and delete all files inside.
  • Go back to services.msc, right‑click Print SpoolerStart.
  • This clears corrupted jobs that block rendering.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Go to the HP Support website and download the latest printer driver for your specific printer model.
  • Install the driver following the on-screen instructions. Make sure to select the correct version for your operating system.

Set the Printer as Default:

  • Go to "Devices and Printers" in your Control Panel.
  • Right-click on your printer and select "Set as default printer."

Clear Print Queue:

  • Sometimes, deleting all pending print jobs can resolve issues. Go to "Devices and Printers," double-click on your printer icon, and remove all pending jobs.

Reinstall the Printer:

  • If problems persist, uninstall the printer completely.
  • Reinstall it using the latest drivers and follow the setup instructions carefully.

Take care and have an amazing day!
