Product: Example: HP Envy 4504

Any documents I print will not print in black, the black prints green or not at all.  I have done the usual things of changing Ink, cleaning, alignment  and also taking out the black cartridge all to no avail, it still will not print in black!

 

Is this a printer issue or  setting on the desktop, if anyone can give suggestions of a solution to this be it printer or desk top it would be appreciated.

@SpanSet, Welcome to HP Support Community!

 

If you have the same issues with copying, it could be a hardware failure.

 

However, you can recheck on the troubleshooting steps from this document HP Deskjet 3540, ENVY 4500 Printers - Black Ink Not Printing and other Print Quality Issues.

 

If the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure. 

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
