I've been having some issues with my printer and local network since changing my router/modem, so I have tried to reinstall the printer, but I think I may have missed a setting or something because, when I print a single page PDF document (I haven't tried a Word document yet) I get a second page with PDF in the top left hand corner.
I've never seen this before (as far as I can remember) so how do I stop this waste of paper (and toner), please?
I'm inclined to completely uninstall the printer and software in the hope of getting back to normal, as this is quite frustrating, what with the other issues.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi @Nightowl4933,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like the additional page with "PDF" in the top left corner might be a result of a printer setting or a miscommunication between your computer and the printer. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Check Print Settings: Before printing, make sure to review the print settings in your PDF viewer or printing application. Look for any options related to page scaling, page range, or headers/footers that might be causing the extra page to print.
Printer Properties: Access the printer properties or preferences through your computer's settings or the print dialog box. Ensure that the paper size and type settings match the paper loaded in the printer. Also, check for any options related to header/footer printing and make sure they are disabled if unnecessary.
Update Printer Drivers: Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. Sometimes outdated drivers can cause compatibility issues with newer routers or changes in network settings. Visit the printer HP website to download and install the latest drivers for your specific printer model.
Network Configuration: Since you mentioned issues with your local network after changing your router/modem, there could be network configuration issues affecting communication between your computer and the printer. Make sure the printer is properly connected to the new router and that it has the correct network settings configured.
Printer Firmware Update: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve various issues and improve performance. Refer to the printer HP website or user manual for instructions on how to update the firmware.
Uninstall and Reinstall Printer: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, you can try uninstalling the printer and its software completely from your computer and then reinstalling it. This can help reset any misconfigured settings or drivers that may be causing the problem.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Thanks, Rachel.
Uninstalling the printer completely then reinstalling it again seems to have solved this issue, but the other problems still exists, even after following your guidance.
What's annoying is it did work until I changed my NAS username and had my router replaced as I changed my provider.
Ho hum!
