Printing blank pages when trying to print a PDF

I’m visiting my elderly father, and he asked me to help him with his printer.

For some reason, in the last number of months (or maybe longer), he can’t seem to print PDFs on this printer. As soon as I go to hit print, the print preview shows the blank document and when you print it, it is blank.

I’ve done a lot of googling and I’ve tried a factory reset of the printer. I’ve downloaded the driver again. I’ve made sure I have the most up-to-date version of Adobe acrobat. I just can’t figure it out.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Save a pdf file on a usb drive, you have an usb port on the top left side of the printer ( it's covered ) insert usb drive with pdf file and print it directly from the printers control panel, if it print fine there is nothing wrong with the printer.
