Printing card stock with envelopes from HP 4155e or 6000 series

I have purchased 2 different HP printers and neither will print the envelopes from Hallmark Card Studio Deluxe software. I believe it is 2021.   Does anyone know of a printer that will print this.  I just had a HP Envy 5055 that did, but it never worked again after I changed the ink.   They said it was not working and needed to buy a new one.  It was only 3 years old.

Nearly any DeskJet printer will be less robust and perhaps provide fewer features than an OfficeJet Pro model printer.

That said,

If this printer can print the envelopes you describe, these must not exceed the specifications for the printer.

Limitations include both paper weight and paper (envelope) size.

What else?

Envelopes cannot be foil lined, embossed, or include scalloped edges.

Envelopes colored other than white or cream will likely not print.

• The Full Feature Software / full driver printer software must be installed.
• If the envelope is not a standard size, it might be necessary to create a Custom Paper Size form.
• The printer must be alerted to the paper loaded in the printer - Paper Size & Type - Tray and Paper Management
• The Printing Preferences - Shortcut must be set to something that will not interfere with the setup of your envelope in the Hallmark software.  This might mean setting the Printing Preferences - Shortcut to something benign (for example, "Everyday Printing"), or it might mean that you must (while in the Hallmark software) complete the setup by adjusting the Printing Preferences settings to match the job.

Method - Use the Easy Start Software to Install the Full Feature / Full Driver Software

For printers that support the option,

Use the Easy Start Software wrapper to install and configure the printer software.

• Home Page - HP Easy Start 
• Open Category Software and Drivers 
• Open Topic: Software-Utility 
• Download-and-Save  the current version of the Easy Start Software to install your print software 
• If using USB:  Disconnect the USB cable between the printer and computer before installing the software.

• Right-Click on the downloaded package and "Run as Administrator" to start the installation

• Select to install the “Full Driver” / “Full Feature Software” / "Basic" software
• If using USB:  Connect the cable when instructed to do so (near the end of the installation process).
• After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in.

Optional Notes >> Easy Start... The Journey

1. Full Administrator Rights are required to complete the HP Software installation.
2. About 2/3 of the way through the setup, you will be given the opportunity to select the software - select the "Full Driver" set (as opposed to the Smart application).  If necessary, select the "Basic" Software.
3. Skip / Ignore suggestion(s) that you add anything you do not want / need at the moment.  For example, you do not (at the time of installation) need an HP Account and you do not need or want to sign up for Instant Ink just because you are loading the printer software.
4. Full driver provides access to the printer features on which other applications / software might depend.

Preparation > Check / enable the printer as the “Default Printer”

Settings > Devices > Printers and scanners

UNCHECK (clear box) Let Windows manage my default printer

Control Panel > icon view > Devices and Printers

Right-Click on your printer > Printing Preferences

• When called from within printing software / applications, Printing Preferences might be called "Printer Properties" / "Shortcuts" / “More Settings” / “Properties” / "Printer Setup" or similar.
